Total V Firming Cream is designed to be paired with ELIXIR's updated V Build Method EX, combining the cream with specific facial movements and massage.
Step 1 – “Puu”
Puff out the cheeks until the nasolabial folds become less visible and hold for 5 seconds.
Step 2 – “Uu”
Shape the mouth into an “U” shape.
Using the side of a loosely closed fist, press the skin upward at three points from the chin towards below the ears and from the corners of the mouth towards the sides of the ears. Hold each position for 3 seconds.
Step 3 – “Ii”
Pull the corners of the mouth sideways into an “I” shape.
Repeat the upward pressing technique at the same three areas used in Step 2, holding each for 3 seconds.
Step 4 – Lift & Hold
Using the entire palm, gently move upward from the jawline towards the temples and hold for 10 seconds.
The lifting and contouring actions described here come from the V Build Method EX massage technique and should not be interpreted as the cream physically lifting facial tissue on its own.
Rich Yet Comfortable Texture
Total V Firming Cream has a dense, substantial texture with a noticeable sense of hold, while still being designed to avoid an excessively sticky finish.
In a December 2025 pre-launch monitor study of 100 women aged 45–64 who used the renewed cream for seven days:
96% described the texture as rich or dense.
91% felt the texture was non-sticky.

How to Use
Total V Firming Cream is primarily recommended as an evening skincare step.
After cleansing, lotion and emulsion, take approximately one pearl-sized amount (0.3g) and apply to the face.
Follow with the V Build Method EX when desired.
When used according to the recommended amount and directions, one 50g container is estimated to last approximately 5 months.
The cream can also be used in the morning. When using it during the day, ELIXIR recommends following with a cosmetic product that provides UV protection.
Sustainable Ultra-Slim Refill
The renewed Total V Firming Cream introduces an Ultra-Slim Refill designed to reduce packaging materials.
The refill is approximately 0.33mm thick. Shiseido states that the new refill achieves a 95% reduction in plastic compared with the weight of the main container. It is also produced at a facility using 100% renewable electricity.
Refill Compatibility
The new 2026 refill can be used with the previous Total V Firming Cream container released in October 2023.
However, the reverse is not compatible: the previous refill cannot be installed in the renewed 2026 container.
