Japanese Clean Beauty for Skin, Body & Everyday Balance

athletia is a Japanese clean beauty brand created around a simple idea: beauty should support the way we actually live.

Rather than focusing on skincare alone, athletia connects face care, body care, scalp and hair care, UV protection and aroma with the changing rhythms of everyday life—from active mornings and time outdoors to evening relaxation and sleep.

The brand organises this philosophy around three states: active & go, designed for active moments; tune & charge, focused on supporting the skin through daily skincare; and relaxing & sleep, created for quieter moments of rest and self-conditioning.

A Different Approach to Japanese Clean Beauty

For athletia, clean beauty extends beyond an ingredient list.

The brand considers the impact of its products on people, society and nature, from botanical ingredients to packaging materials. Two of its signature botanical ingredients, ashitaba and shiso, are cultivated on athletia's own circular farm without agricultural chemicals or chemical fertilisers, allowing the brand to control the process from soil preparation and cultivation through harvesting and extraction.

Texture and fragrance are equally important.

athletia develops skincare around comfortable sensory experiences—cushioning textures, dense lightweight foams and formulas designed to blend effortlessly with the skin—while aroma is used as part of the transition between active and restful moments of the day.

The result is a distinctly Japanese interpretation of wellness beauty: practical enough for everyday life, but designed to make ordinary routines feel more considered.

Discover athletia Core Balance

At the centre of athletia skincare is the Core Balance concept.

One of the brand's signatures is Core Balance Oil, a two-phase booster oil used at the beginning of the skincare routine.

Despite being an oil, the formula is designed to feel light on the skin. Its 6:4 oil-to-essence balance combines a Natural Oil Complex made with ten botanical oils—including oils selected for their affinity with the skin—with athletia's proprietary Bio Energetic Complex.

The aim is not simply to add richness. Core Balance Oil addresses moisture, smoothness, suppleness, radiance and the appearance of pores associated with loss of firmness, helping create the soft, resilient skin texture that defines athletia's approach to skincare.

Follow with Core Balance Toning Lotion N to continue the brand's moisture-focused routine.

Beauty That Moves With You

athletia becomes particularly distinctive once you move beyond facial skincare.

The active & go side of the brand includes products designed around heat, UV exposure, sweat and an active lifestyle, including Skin Protection UV Gel, Skin Protection UV Body Mist and Refreshing Deodorant Mist.

Hair and scalp care are treated with the same lifestyle perspective.

Products such as Refreshing Shampoo Balm, Scalp Refresh Lotion and Scalp & Hair Treatment bring athletia's botanical, sensory approach into routines that often sit outside conventional skincare. These categories are also among the brand's current bestsellers in Japan.

And When the Day Slows Down

Rest is treated as seriously as activity.

athletia's relaxing & sleep philosophy uses fragrance and sensory rituals to help mark the transition from the active part of the day into quieter time.

Switching Aroma Pillow Mist / SLEEP, currently among athletia's popular products in Japan, represents this side of the brand particularly well.

This relationship between movement and rest explains the name athletia itself. According to the brand, the name expresses its vision of an active yet flexible way of living, while its visual identity represents the balance between movement and stillness, mind and body.
